Potomac Celtic Festival

Celebrating its “Sweet 16″, the Potomac Celtic Festival will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2009, among the rolling hills of Loudoun County, on the picturesque and historic grounds of Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia.

A federally recognized 501(c)3 organization (Potomac Celtic Alliance), and run completely by devoted volunteers, the Potomac Celtic Festival is more than just a cultural heritage festival; it’s a labor of love that brings together an entire community of craftspeople, vendors, historians, performers, and many others. The 2009 festival will include continuous music and dance, a gathering of Scottish clans and societies, Celtic crafters and specialty import vendors, a parade and pipers, story telling, children’s activities, workshops, demonstrations, food and drink (including our authentic pub tent and Tarara wines), and all of the family-fun that has become synonymous with the Potomac Celtic Festival! In 2009 the Festival will feature for the first time contests for the best kilts and highland garb. So come out and wear your finest!

We need volunteers to assist in many Festival tasks: selling performer products, helping out on the site before, during, and after the Festival, crewing at the stages, working at the Information booth, helping with parking, or at participant hospitality, checking in participants, etc. If you would like to volunteer you will be eligible for participant hospitality (food and drink all day), and can enjoy the Festival for the rest of the day.
